Glasgow Rangers of Scotland striker, Cyriel Kolawole Dessers has admitted he will be keen on adding to his personal goals haul in the Scottish Premiership when his side host Aberdeen on Sunday.
The former Super Eagles invitee already has 14 goals in 30 Scottish top-flight league matches, which is just two short of his total of 16 in 35 games last season, but he is also gunning towards his second best personal season ever.

Sports247 recalls that Desser’s best season as a professional came during his days with NAC Breda of the Netherlands, for which he struck 29 goals during the 2026/17 season and, though Rangers can no longer win the league title this year, his haul of 25 sizzlers in total is already a new milestone.
Dramatically, the 30-year-old hitman with a Nigerian mother and Belgian father scored goal number 25 in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home with his team’s fellow-Glasgow-based rivals, Celtic, and scoring at the same venue on Sunday will take his current marks to 26.
However, Dessers, who also previously played for Lovren, Lokeren, Heracles Almelo, Utrecht and RKC Genk, pointed out that he is not at Ibrox Stadium for personal glory alone, as he also wants to help The Gers win a plethora of trophies and take them back into European club competitions next season.
Dessers, who won the Scottish League Cup last sesson with Rangers and scored against Manchester United in this year’s UEFA Europa League, disclosed, “I came here two summers ago with the ambition to fight for trophies and uplift Gers.
“We were in Europe, but only won one trophy, and I don’t think that’s enough. I’m really hungry to win more trophies and more silverware at this club. So, I’m very keen and hope to see a lot happening here.”
The mulatto ace, who also helped Rangers send Fernebahce of Turkey packing from the Europa League, concluded with a verdict that his days in Glasgow have added a massive leap to his career, but he still wants to win the Scottish Premiership in order to feel really accomplished with the team.
“Everything in these last two seasons has been tight for us domestically. Last season was an amazing one. With two games to end it, we were still fighting for the league title.
“So, not everything was bad, but I always want more. I work hard for everyday and a lot of people here are doing that as well,” disclosed Dessers, who will have another opportunity of adding to his haul of goals next weekend versus Dundee United
