Ikorodu City FC have booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2025 President Federation Cup after a gritty 1-0 victory over Wikki Tourists in Abuja on Saturday.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) newcomers, known for their impressive run this season, secured the win despite going down to 10 men.

Shola Adelani netted the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the second half, sealing the club’s first-ever appearance in the final four since its inception.
Leonard Ngenge saw red just after the hour mark, but coach Nurudeen Aweroro’s side held firm to maintain their slim lead.
Ikorodu City will now face Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit Abakaliki FC for a place in the final.
Abakaliki FC reached the semi-finals after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Nasarawa United. The match ended 1-1 in regular time before the Ebonyi-based club triumphed 5-4 in the shootout.
In another quarter-final clash, Rangers International edged Plateau United 1-0 to keep their continental dreams alive after missing out on the chance to qualify through the NPFL.
Chidozie Okorie’s first-half strike proved enough for the former champions to advance to the semi-finals, where they will meet Kwara United in an all-NPFL showdown.
Kwara United, meanwhile, came from behind twice to hold 2017 champions Akwa United to a 2-2 draw in Enugu. Wasiu Alalade scored a brace to cancel out goals from Endurance Ebedebiri and Emmanuel Ini.
The Harmony Boys then clinched a 5-3 win in the penalty shootout to seal their place in the last four.
The winner of the 2025 President Federation Cup will earn a ticket to represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
