The Tour de France is an annual men’s multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in France it’s also the oldest of the three Grand Tours (the Tour, the Giro d’Italia, and the Vuelta a España) and is generally considered the most prestigious.

Looking back at how the journey started for him, he allayed his early love for the sport and how fun the ride had been.

“I started cycling a long time and I joined the team set up in 2017 and it’s been fun since then. I gained a scholarship which spanned until the end of my secondary school through cycling and they got me a bicycle and all the needed kits although I was so younger then”.

‘Since that journey started, I have gone to many competitions in different States and also an African country”.

“This event is a tough one for cyclists, I don’t know about any other sporting activities but ours is tough because we did three events (road race, time trial, and point race)”.

‘For the road race in the male and female category, Kwara State took second while in the time trial, females 3rd and nothing for male and for point race female, they came second”.

‘Now, I’m exposed to more techniques that I don’t know before and that’s a good one for my development,” he admitted.

“I should be going for the Tour De France by the grace of God, that’s my target and what I’m working towards”, Mamud Abdulsalam concluded.
