7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup: Organisers Ban Abubakar Usman, Suspend Players And Officials Of FC Asuba

Abubakar Usman popularly known and referred to as Habu Tilo of FC Asuba has been banned from further participating in the ongoing 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South United Cup for assaulting a match official after his team was narrowly beaten 4 – 3 by Kaltungo Boys FC in the Kaltungo centre.

In a press statement made available to journalists, the organisers also disclosed that all FC Asuba registered Players and Officials have also been provisionally suspended from the ongoing edition of the competition pending the final determination of the punishment by the LOC.

Speaking to the Communications Department, the LOC Chairman, Promise Uwaeme frowned at the act and repledged his commitment towards delivering a tournament without violence.

“We will continue to work with the teams to ensure that incidences like this doesn’t throughout the tournament. It is very unfortunate and we at the LOC will see that the player and the entire team faces the full wrath of their action” Mr. Promise stated.

“We are committed as a committee and I can assure you that the teams are cooperating and soonest, incidences of this nature will be completely eradicated from the tournament” he concluded.

The match between FC Elders, Kaltungo and FC Asuba scheduled to hold on Thursday 1st December, 2022 at the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium, Kaltungo is hereby suspended till further notice.
