3SC Taps Marketing Veteran Bunmi Fadayomi as COO to Drive Club’s Commercial Transformation

In a bold step toward repositioning itself as a modern football brand, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has announced the appointment of marketing communications expert Bunmi Fadayomi as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The appointment, confirmed on Wednesday, comes as part of the club’s wider restructuring strategy ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Fadayomi brings with him over two decades of high-level experience in strategy, branding, and consumer engagement across West and Central Africa, with a strong track record in sports sponsorship and fan activation.

His most recent role as Project Director for Razzl’s $1.5 million sponsorship activation at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) saw him oversee multi-city operations across stadiums in Côte d’Ivoire — a feat that further underlines his ability to deliver on complex sporting campaigns.

Speaking on the appointment, Executive Chairman of 3SC, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, described Fadayomi as a “transformational leader” whose expertise aligns with the club’s ambition to elevate both performance and profitability.

“Bunmi’s appointment reflects our vision to strengthen 3SC’s operational backbone and unlock new commercial opportunities,” Salami said.

Fadayomi’s role will include spearheading structural reforms, modernizing club operations, and building sustainable revenue streams for the Ibadan-based club, fondly known as the Oluyole Warriors.

His entry is seen as a significant shift from traditional football administration towards a more business-centric approach — one many Nigerian clubs are now exploring to remain competitive on and off the pitch.

With the 2025/2026 NPFL season fast approaching, stakeholders will be watching closely to see how this strategic hire impacts 3SC’s performance and brand evolution.
