Nigerian youngster Oluwaseun Lawal has taken a major step in his football career after officially signing his first professional contract with Slovenian top-flight club FC Koper.
Sports247 reports that the talented player, who emerged from 36 Lions FC Lagos, is now set to begin a new chapter in European football after completing his move to the club based in Primorska, southwestern Slovenia.

Lawal is delighted to reach the milestone, which represents another important breakthrough for a young player who has worked his way through the Nigerian grassroots football system.
The move will see the Nigerian youngster compete in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the country’s top division, giving him the opportunity to test himself against some of the best players and clubs in Slovenian football.
Known as the Kanarčki (Canaries), FC Koper will provide Lawal with a new platform to develop his game, gain valuable professional experience and make an impression on the European stage.
For 36 Lions FC Lagos, Lawal’s transfer represents another example of the talent emerging from Nigeria’s competitive grassroots football environment. The Lagos-based club has continued to provide young players with opportunities to develop and pursue professional careers beyond Nigeria.
Lawal’s move was brokered by Cemsagar, whose efforts played an important role in making the transfer possible.
With the contract now officially signed, attention turns to the next challenge: establishing himself in Slovenia and making his mark in the PrvaLiga.
