36 Lion Boss Breaks Silence On Recent Platinum Leadership Award

President Of 36 Lion Football Academy of Lagos, Hajj Olawale Liameed Gafar has disclosed the reasons why he won more than two awards in the outgoing year.

Recently the football administrator also received Ladi Kwali Platinum Leadership Award of Excellence as “Icon of Women Development.” in his office.

According to the organizers, the nomination came as a result of the 36 Lion Chief’s philanthropic gestures and ability to work with different people irrespective of their tribe and religious inclination.

Reacting to the awards bestowed on him in the outgoing year,Gafar explained that he had received more than two national awards this year.

He revealed that the reasons for the award bestwoed on him was as a result of his empowering the youths and his contribution to the sports development not only in Lagos but Nigeria at large.

“I don’t know what to say about the awards I received recently and this is not my first award in this year and I have received two or three awards before now.

“I think the bottom line is that I invested so much in youths and empowering them through football and acquisition skills.Maybe these are things that make me to qualify as an award recipient,”he said.

Gafar said he had channelled his resources to the youths development noted that there are many youths who are ready to work if they get a little capital.

He further noted that Nigerian youths are hardworking and determined if they see support from well meaning Nigerians.

On his assessment of the academy in the outgoing year,Gafar expressed gratitude to God for the gift of lives and thanked the friends, relations and well wishers for always being with his acadmey.

He said the acadmey had recorded achievements in area of transferring players to Europe, secondly reached the the quarter final of this year’s Lagos FA Cup and performed well at the recent Jagaban Cup.

“The academy is waxing stronger because I am happy that more than three of our players are now playing their professional football in Europe and we involved in some grade a football competitions including Lagos FA Cup and I must confess that my boys and coaching crew did excellently well,”he said.
