Kelechi John Cherishes Progress At Rio Ave

Rio Ave of Portugal defender, Kelechi John has expressed satisfaction with the progress he is making with the modest Portuguese Primeira LigA side, as he believes he is on the right path to global success.

 

Having found his way into the main team of the club that once paid the wages of former Golden Eaglets invitee, Philip Chidi Onyemah, the new kid on the block said he is happy to develop his career through the stages.

 

Footballlive.ng can report that the 20-year-oldf rising star was on for 90 minutes with Rio Ave in their Liga Revelacao fixture against Sporting Braga last weekend.

 

Beyond that, John said he is working hard to develop his game in an attempt to show that he has vastly improved, after arriving from Plateau United of Jos two years ago.

 

He said: “I was very young when I came over here and the football here was strange, but I thank God I have been able to adjust and playing consistently in the lesser league.

 

”I am happy with my development and I believe with the right mentality I will be one of the best defenders in the world in the near future.”
