The attacker admitted that they should have been in contention for the title last season but due to a slow start and slips which could have been avoided, they narrowly missed it out to Buckknor FC.

“As an individual and as a team, we are not just waiting for the new season. We have programs coming up because you know as a footballer, we don’t actually have an off-season, we have to be ready at all times because programs might come around and trials, we train and rest”, Nnamdi via Sports247.ng media outlet revealed.

“The week after the end of the Ikeja DFA Super 4 game, we were kind of enjoying ourselves in training although we were meant to rest but we had to come and correct our mistakes”.

“Since the following week, we have been training very hard non-stop, playing friendly games as we prepare for whatever is coming ahead of us.”

“Last season was a very good season although we didn’t start well but we gave it our all to make it to the Super 4 and we don’t want the same start again next season, we want to start well and fight for the trophy instead of second best, third best finish”, he added.

On his personal target – “the next league we are playing, I actually don’t know the number of teams that will participate but I have to better my scoring and assist chart”.

“I want to move forward the same way I’m helping the team, I want to help myself because you never can tell who is watching you”.
