Before the encounter, both teams were level on points and the only thing separating them was the goal difference which made Deluxe with more goal tally top of the group, but with Luqui Moly’s big win, they have now taken the top spot with twelve points going into their last crucial game against Divine Praise FC.

Assessing his team’s performance after the win in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, head coach Uchechukwu Ugwu admitted that it was a good outing from his boys.

“It was a good game for us. Why I love this particular season is because of the focus on the youths. If you follow our games, you could see that we struggled in the first game even though we won by six goals to three.”

“Subsequent matches, the boys have been growing in confidence and experience. So I just love what I’m seeing, we will see how we can take it from here,” he stated.

On the last game against Divine Praise FC which certainly is a crucial clash – “with the level that the boys are playing with right now, I don’t see them defeating us by three goals without response from us. We need to focus on the game because you know, in football, anything can happen.”

“Let’s just pray that the officiating officials keep doing well the way they are doing, that that day, there won’t be anything funny as we come out to play.”

Ahead of the potential play-offs against Dosu Joseph FC – “the Dosu team I saw are a very good side and they have been together for quiet sometime now, if we do qualify, I know it’s going to be a good match, that’s one thing I’m sure about.”

“For us, you know, it’s about development. So it’s going to be total football,” he assured.
