Zakho SC have confirmed the contract extension of Nigerian winger Deputy Echeta,Sports247 reports.
The new contract will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026/2027 season, with an option for an additional year.

Deputy Echeta’s previous deal was set to expire at the end of the 2025/2026 campaign, but the Iraqi Stars League side moved quickly to secure his future after an impressive season.
The 24-year-old winger who joined Zahko during the January 2025 transfer window featured in 24 matches last season, contributing five goals, 6 assists and several key performances that strengthened Zakho SC’s attack.
Known for his pace and creativity from wide areas, Deputy Echeta has become an integral part of the squad.
Zakho SC, based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, competes in the Iraq Stars League, the country’s top-flight football division.
The club sees Echeta’s extension as a vital step in bolstering their ambitions for the upcoming seasons.
Speaking to the player’s representative, He confirmed that Echeta attracted interest from many clubs.
“Echeta’s performance in the just concluded season attracted alot of interest for the player, but Zahko moved fast to hold on to their prized asset”
