According to her, “I must commend Lagos state governor, Babajide Sawon Olu for supporting the youth on this move, if not for his passion for the youth, we would not have been here, like myself i still call myself a youth even at 50 years old. And I also want to thank Mr Oluwadamilare the SSA youth to Mr Governor on this movement on this cause this is just a sign that the youth will definitely continue to appreciate the government. But if there is neglection, It is then they will be thinking of a different move.

But with this, a lot of different programs here in Lagos for the youth. But with this is so encouraging for me as a local government chairman, I will continue to support them because the youth are surely the leaders of today, not even tomorrow. And with this in Lagos, the Lagos of our Lagos, your Lagos, my Lagos will definitely continue to grow.”

She also advised the organisers to keep up the good work and assured them of her continuous backing and encouragement. She said, “Well, like I said, my advice to the organisers Mr Oluwa Damilare the SSA on youth to Mr Governor, on this move, on this part is just for him to continue in this direction.

As long as he never derailed from this move he started, the sky is going to be his beginning. I will tell you, he has been doing wonderfully well in Lagos state ever since I met the boy. And that is what prompted me as a local government chairman because he came from my LCDA. That is what prompted me to make sure that wherever he comes up with, I will definitely be there to encourage and support him.”

Princess Bada also shared her personal experience of working as a chairman and how the Lagos Keep Fit Initiatives helped her to relieve some stress and stay healthy. She said, “It’s so, you know, it’s so interesting. I must tell you, working as a chairman. You know, the way we work from Monday to Saturday, from Monday to Friday, no time for weekends for parties. You don’t even have time for yourself, but we will be able to sweat. I have sweated out this morning, so I’ll continue to come and encourage and support this guy.”

She also urged all the Lagosians who missed the event to join the next one and enjoy the benefits of physical exercise. She said, “To all the Lagosians that are not here today, the youths and the adults I want to tell you are missing something. If you don’t come here at Onikan to join the youth here, I’m telling all the Local government chairman in Lagos that if you are not here, then you are just missing something because you must be a part of this you must sweat out because health is wealth. Not until you get to the hospital. There are things that you need to exercise. There are times you need to just get yourself back to your feet and this is just common exercise. So if you are doing this, I don’t think you always need to measure your temperature, my sugar level, this and that. This will help in a long way.”

The Lagos Keep Fit Initiatives is a monthly program that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster social cohesion among the residents of Lagos state. The program is open to all and free of charge. The next edition is scheduled for March 18, 2024 at the same venue.
