Dar es Salaam — Just a day after rivals Simba SC unveiled their new coach Dimitar Pantev, their archrivals Young Africans (Yanga SC) are reportedly planning a major shake-up of their technical bench — with former success coach Nasreddine Nabi set for a sensational return to replace current head coach Romain Folz.
Nabi, who is currently in a dispute with his South African club Kaizer Chiefs, has been spotted in Tanzania and is expected to stay for a week. Reports from within the club suggest that his appointment could be made official at any time.

The Tunisian tactician is widely regarded as one of the most successful coaches in Yanga’s modern history, having led the team to two consecutive NBC Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and a historic run to the CAF Confederation Cup final. His return is seen by many fans as the key to reviving the team’s dominance both domestically and on the continent.
Apart from Nabi, another name being discussed as a potential replacement for Folz is Sead Ramovic, currently coaching CR Belouizdad in Algeria. Ramovic, who once took charge of Yanga after the departure of Miguel Gamondi, impressed with his attacking football style before unexpectedly terminating his contract and leaving for Algeria.
Yanga’s management is said to be under intense pressure from fans, who have expressed strong dissatisfaction with French coach Romain Folz following a string of poor performances. Supporters fear that the club’s title defense and CAF Champions League campaign could be jeopardized if immediate action is not taken.
With fan pressure mounting and expectations sky-high, Yanga may soon make a decisive move — and the return of Nasreddine Nabi could mark the beginning of another golden era for the Jangwani giants.
