Sports247 gathered that, in what becomes an instant reward for Alao’s remarkable burst of top form in the outgoing year, the Nigerian-born lad has been offered a strong opportunity of stepping up.
The 16-year-old fresh faced lad could be on his way towards playing in the English Premier League before the end of 2026 should efforts of luring him over to Old Trafford or Anfield prove to be fruitful.
It would also be a timely elevation for the enterprising left-back, as his present club are in dire straits – last placed in the second-tier Championship, already under administration and on the brink of being sold.
However, while Liverpool are keen on hooking the youngster, they are reportedly already behind United, who have lodged a formal bid to show how serious they ae about hooking Alao’s signature.
A report by Daily Mail added: “United have already offered £450,000 for the 16-year-old, who is yet to sign pro terms with The Owls.
“Alao has tasted senior action in both the Carabao Cup and Championship this season, acting as understudy to Harry Amass, who is on-loan at Hillsborough from United.”
