Students and teachers of Yellow House went into roaring celebrations after their football team won the soccer event’s gold medal during this year’s inter-house sports competition of Government College Lagos.
Sports247 reports that the celebrations extended beyond the pitch of National Institute for Sports (NIS) inside the premises of Lagos National Stadium, Surulere, where the school’s students exhibited several astonishing performances.

The house master, Mr Linus Agugom, who happens to be a mathematics teacher at the school located along Eric Moore Road in Surulere, Lagos, disclosed that the football squad used intelligent calculations to beat all their opponents.
He praised efforts of the football team’s captain, Amosu Aska, for leading the squad to victory and in making every member of Yellow House proud of donning vests in their glittering colour.
Agugom also praised the house’s march past captain, Idris Anigilaje and boys’ 100m sensation, Felix Destiny, who the maths master disclosed that, despite being in junior secondary two (JS2), is already showing the potentials of a great athlete in the future.
Other events that took place at the sports day included running, sack race, long jump, high jump, invitational relays, teachers’ race and lots more.
