Hon. Adeboye, impressed by her rapid rise and stature at such a young age, declared

“With every support, I see a dream of playing at the Grand Slam in the next two years becoming a reality. With this visit, I can assure you everything will be done. She has the height, she has the game, and being number one in half of Nigeria at this age means the dream of seeing her represent Nigeria on the global stage must be pushed.”

Khadijat, visibly moved by the show of support, shared her gratitude and her aspirations:

“I’m truly honored by this visit and by the encouragement I’ve received from Hon. Adeboye and everyone who believes in me. My dream is to play at the Grand Slam, wear Nigeria’s colors with pride, and make history for girls like me. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m ready to work hard every single day to get there.”

The meeting emphasized the importance of institutional support and grassroots development in building Nigeria’s next generation of sporting champions. Hon. Adeboye reiterated President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places youth and sports at the center of national development.

Khadijat’s coach and parents also used the opportunity to call for increased investment in tennis infrastructure, especially in underserved communities where hidden talents abound.

The SSA assured them of continued support, promising to mobilize resources and partnerships that would help Khadijat achieve her Grand Slam dream.

As she departed the meeting, Khadijat stood not just as a tennis player, but as a symbol of hope, excellence, and the limitless potential of Nigeria’s youth when given the right support.
