More and more reactions have trailed the draws of the Winners Golden Bet Lagos State FA Cup as more teams praise the return of the competition with eagerness to get underway and strive for a go at victory.
The Lagos State FA Cup begins with a straight knockout stage without chances of a replay and the team manager of Colin Edwin SC, Azuka Anthony has stated it’s either teams take their chances or go home.
“It’s a one-way game and you don’t have a second chance. If you don’t prepare well, you can be knocked out in the early stage of the competition,” he told Sports247.
“I think it’s a good thing to have this return after the effect of the pandemic. It’s good the state FA organized this rather than waiting for the National level. We’ll see good games, good competition as teams are ready to participate,” he added.
Speaking on his team’s preparations and chances, Mr. Anthony expressed his desire to win the cup while also stating it’s not going to be easy. “We’re prepared for the competition and deep inside as a human I’ll say yes (we’ll win the competition) but what football gives depends on how you prepare. If you prepare well and there’s luck on your side then the sky is the limit,” he concluded.
