The players had earlier stayed away from training due to what the captain described as a communication gap between the squad and the management.
However, after a series of meetings aimed at addressing the concerns raised by the players, normal activities have now resumed at the club.
Speaking on the development, Guda explained that the situation has been amicably settled and the team has returned to training with full concentration on their upcoming league fixture.
“There was a communication gap from the management, which was why we had the issue, but it has now been sorted. We have returned to training after the meetings,” the captain said.
The development comes shortly after the club officially announced the appointment of Coach Evans Ogenyi as the new Technical Adviser.
The management believes the experienced tactician will help strengthen the team’s technical direction as the season approaches a crucial stage.
Ogenyi’s appointment is seen as part of efforts by the Bauchi-based club to stabilise the team and improve performances in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
With the situation surrounding the training boycott now resolved, attention has quickly shifted back to preparations for the next match.
Wikki Tourists will face Elkanemi Warriors in a Matchday 29 encounter of the 2025/2026 NPFL season this weekend.
The fixture is scheduled to take place at the New Jos Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The match will serve as an important test for the team as they aim to return to competitive action with renewed focus and unity.
For the Giant Elephants, resolving the internal misunderstanding has provided a timely boost ahead of the encounter. The players are expected to channel their energy into securing a positive result as they continue their push in the league.
With the dressing room issues now behind them, Wikki Tourists will be hoping that stability off the pitch translates into improved performances when they take on Elkanemi Warriors in Jos.
