WHY WE RESOLVED TO REMAIN WITH 3SC -Waheed Omololu

Captain of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Waheed Omololu, has revealed why he and his colleagues resolved to remain with the Oluyole Warriors.

General Manager of the Ibadan soccer lords Rasheed Balogun, had recently disclosed that all the players have pledged their future to the team, whatever the decision taken on the 2019/20 season.

Speaking with Shooting Stars Media, the central back, explained that the players, decided to stay put with the Oluyole Warriors for some vital reasons.

“Yes, we have all made up our minds to remain players of 3SC because we have not fulfilled our promise to the government and people of Oyo State. That is the ultimate reason

“I and some of my colleagues where at the meeting where His Excellency, the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, gave our management another chance after we failed to gain promotion last season.

“The governor gave the management a target to get promotion and since we are the ones that will do the job on the field, we took it as a challenge that 3SC must get back to the premier league”.

Speaking further, the experienced defender said. “Secondly, we have enjoyed the backing of our governor and we believe the only way to pay the government and the good people of Oyo State back, is to gain promotion and we are already on the road to achieving that.

“We are staying to finish what we started as a mark of appreciation to our governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State as well as all our supporters and fans, who have stood by us so far.

“Our governor was with us when we played against Ekiti United and he promised to give us everything we need which he has been doing, because we get our salaries without delay.

“The management team, led by Rasheed Balogun and the technical crew have also given us the best a team can give to players both on and off the pitch.

“That is why we want to remain here and get the desired promotion ticket”, added the 3SC skipper, who appealed the teeming fans of the club to keep praying for the success of the team.

“3SC might be playing in the NNL for now but the club does not belong there.

“Most clubs in the NPFL cannot do what 3SC is doing in terms of players welfare, particularly with the players’ friendly management and a committed and passionate governor that we have.

“We are very happy at the club and we want to assure our fans that it is a matter of time, their darling club will return to the NPFL”, stated Omololu.
