Why Flying Eagles coaches are not in Germany camp

Revelations have emerged on the reasons why both Assistant coaches of the Flying Eagles are no where to be found in the Germany Camp of the U20 National team.

 

First Assistant coach of Nigeria’s U20 national team Abdul Maikaba has stated that he opted out of travelling with the world cup bound Flying Eagles training tour of Germany because of the precarious situation of his NPFL club Plateau united who are in a battle to ensure they stay afloat in the top flight at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the second assistant coach Abubakar Bala also confirmed that he took time out of the Flying Eagles camping exercise of Germany as the NPFL reaches it crucial stage and with his team Kwara united flirting with relegation in the league.

Bala speaking in a chat with Sports247 said he has spoken with the coach of the team Paul Aigbogun as well as his colleague Maikaba who is also faced with similar situation at his club on the need for him to be on ground to help salvage his side’s premier league status.
