Why AJ Accepted Fury’s Challenge Despite Back To Back Loss To Usyk

In pursuit to have a fight this year, November to be precise, Tyson Fury had offered Anthony Joshua another opportunity for a world title after he lost twice back to back to Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury is ready to make it an all-Brit encounter and had offered Anthony Joshua forty percent of the total money the bout will produce. Anthony Joshua on the other hand has accepted the challenge despite just coming from a painful defeat in less than a month. Joshua could have no choice other than to accept the challenge as a lot will be considered.

One major consideration Anthony Joshua is making is the contract with DAZN. Joshua signed a 100m pounds deal with the media outfit just before the fight against Usyk. The deal entails that for a period of five years, Joshua will have to fight glamour fights. Fights people can talk about and do a minimum of two fights a year. He has done one and he has to do a second one to keep that contractual obligation.

Another reason Anthony Joshua will consider a fight is that it is a shorter route for him to another world title because Tyson Fury is a world champion and Joshua lost his title to Usyk in a double bout. AJ has this as another opportunity for a world title again.

The third factor will definitely be the lots of money that will come in if this fight takes place. sponsors and advertisers will come if eventually, the fight comes. Considering the pound-for-pound characteristics between both boxers, bookmakers have urged Anthony Joshua not to go into any fight for now but it seems time is not on anyone’s side. AJ is 6″6 and Fury is 6’9. AJ’s reach is 82 and Fury is 85. Fury holds very big physical advantages and when it comes to experience, Fury could have it all.
