Wheelchair Basketball Is Growing In Nigeria – Adoki

The technical director of Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation (NWCBF), Tamuno O’Brien Adoki has declared that the sports is growing in the country and believes a greater impact will be felt in 2019.

Adoki, who is also a basketball instructor at National Institute for Sports (NIS), Lagos, told sports247.ng that they are coming out with fresh ideas on how to get more physically challenged involved in the sport.

He stressed that wheelchair basketball in Nigeria is gaining momentum due to untiring efforts of the coaches and players, who line out for duty every day at the outdoor courts of the sports institute.

Adoki added: “I am happy with the strides we are making. It has not been easy, but we are getting there.

“Gradually and gradually, with some sponsors coming up, like the one we have from Delta State, and the prospect of a great future is already evident.”
