What Its Means For WABA Opening Its Asian Pacific Headquarters In Cebu, Philippines

The World Africa Boxing Association (WABA) is extending its arm to Asia by launching its Headquarters for the Asian Pacific in Cebu, the Philippines. The Asia Pacific Office will be under the President of WABA Asian Pacific and longtime boxing official for 50 years Sir Antonio Pino Persons, a resident of Cebu known as the Mecca of boxing in the Philippines.

The WABA Asian Pacific headquarters will also coordinate WABA activities in East South Africa, Central, and Western Asia.[p
The WABA Asian Pacific Headquarters will also have the Vice President who will be appointed soon to assist the President in the day-to-day activities of the fledgling boxing organizations.

Given the number of boxers in Cebu and activities of the same, WABA located in Cebu is coming at the right time when boxing is finding its way back to normalcy.

WBA postponed its two world titles in the Philippines because of the Covid-19 Pandemic which will take place early next year as boxing attracts fans to venues. It is inconceivable to organize boxing fights in empty venues as the aura and fans’ noises would be missing.

So, the two world supreme belts would wait for the right moment in the packed venues as several city governments in the Philippines have presented proposals to sponsor the titles.

Meanwhile, the WABA USA campaign would take place early next year as several great world boxing contenders are looking to lock horns in an attempt to win one of WABA’s Supreme Titles.

This comes as the Covid-19 Pandemic Vaccine is on the horizon.
