WGB Lagos FA Cup: Jimmy Coach Warns 36 Lion To Prepare For War

Attention would be shirted to Alade sports center, Ipaja Command tomorrow afternoon when Jimmy Football Club of Ikeja go to war with 36 Lion Football Club of Surulere in the round of 32 of Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.

The round of 32 known as fourth round kicked off on Friday morning but the match that would attract Lagos football fans in tomorrow encounter is a match between Jimmy FC and 36 Lion FC.

Jimmy coach,Akanni Adebayo in a chat with sports 247.ng boasted that his team are in good form and they are ready to give any opponents a run for their money.

He admitted that their match against 36 Lion would be another cracker but insisted that their opponents should prepare for war and forget the victory.

“I am aware of our next opponents and I have full confidence that my boys would go on rampage. We need to double our effort and ensure that we achieve our target against 36 Lion.We are not afraid of them but tell them to prepare for war, when they confront us on Saturday afternoon,”he said.

Jimmy performance in this year’s FA Cup is quite impressive and they have won their last three matches with a wide margin.

Out of three matches they have played so far, they scored 12 goals and conceded four goals.

Jimmy FC are attacking team and they are very dangerous in the front of goal.Jimmy are good in attack and well coordinated in the midfield but their defence is suspense.A team like Jimmy whose players have pace with deadly attackers can wreck havoc against any team in FA cup.

On the other hand,36 Lion reached round of 16 in last year and they are hoping to go far in this year’s FA Cup.36 Lion would play their difficult match when they confront Jimmy who are parading highly experienced players.

36 Lion may not have highly experienced league or FA Cup players like that but their young players are very mobile and tactically disciplined which may give them advantage over their opponents
Reacting to this fixture,36 Lion boss, Liameed Gafar said the game would be tough for both teams but noted that his players are pyscologically prepared, mentally balance and physically fit to handle any team that comes their way.
“I am not going to boast or shout unnecessarily but 90 minutes would decide the team that are better of course I respect Jimmy based on their performance in FA Cup but we are not afraid of them and I am looking forward to the match,”he concluded.

In the fourth round result released by the organizer this morning Spartan defeated Gbagada 4-3 after 2-2 at the regulation time.

Spartan are the first team that qualified for the round of 16 of the competition.
