WGB Lagos FA Cup: 36 Lion, Lion Heart In Fierce Battle

One of the matches that would call the attention of fans in the ongoing Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup scheduled for tomorrow is a match between 36 Lion Football Club and Lion Heart Football Club.

The much-anticipated encounter would hold by 11 am at the Odion Ighalo stadium, Epe.
Although much has not been heard about Lion Heart FC 36 Lion who crashed out in the round of 16 last year’s edition are planning to surpass their last record.

36 Lion are coming to this year’s FA Cup with young players and many of them are just playing the FA Cup for the first time.

Lion Heart is another team that would give their opponents a run for their money based on their performance at the recent time. The match between the two teams would be tough as both of them are roaring to reach the next round of the competition.

Speaking on tomorrow’s game,36 Lion boss, Liammed Gafar said his team are not afraid of any team saying that they would approach the game with all seriousness.

“I am parading a set of young players to the FA Cup and I have confidence in their abilities. I don’t know much about our opponents but we are going to give them a good fight,” he said.

Another match the fans would be enjoying tomorrow is a match between Jimmy FC and Symbol FC.

Jimmy FC are one of the formidable teams in the preliminary FA Cup. Their 3-1 victory over Dosu Joseph Academy was a clear indication that the team are in FA Cup to cause an upset. The fastest goal so far in the tournament was recorded by Jimmy FC after they scored their first goal in the 20 seconds.

Symbol FC may be an unknown club but they can only cause upset in the competition if they beat Jimmy FC which has highly experienced players.

Thousands of football fans would storm Alade sports stadium, Ipaja Command tomorrow as they would be looking forward to the match between G12 and Jo Sportyne FC. It is another cracker match because both teams play football on the ground.

G12 who recently won the Lion King’s cup in Lagos would be under pressure because anything short of victory in tomorrow’s match would be a serious setback for the team.
