D’Tigress forward Amy Okonkwo has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Nigerian government after the fulfillment of promises made to the team following their triumph at the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket.

Okonkwo thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and top sports officials for honoring their commitments, describing the gesture as impactful and motivating for the players.
