Smart City FC of Lagos have shifted focus fully to the new NNL season, with Team Manager Adejare Ojo Adebiyi declaring the squad mentally fired up and motivated following the unveiling of their elite-grade European-standard kits.
The unveiling — earlier conducted at the team’s home ground — showcased a complete set of high-quality home and away jerseys, training gear, tracksuits, and hoses that instantly lifted the atmosphere across the camp. Officials and players were visibly excited, describing the kits as “top-tier quality used by some European clubs.”

But as the new season approaches, Adebiyi says the unveiling has done more than brighten the dressing room — it has injected belief and confidence into the squad.
“We’re ready for a big NNL season,” the TM said.
“Our chairman, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has shown unmatched commitment to this club. The quality of the kits reflects his dedication, and we as a team must now show our commitment on the pitch.”
Adebiyi added that the management and players remain determined to repay the chairman’s investment and vision.
“The chairman has done everything required to put us in the best position. It is our turn to deliver results. We are fully prepared and motivated.”
Smart City FC will now open their 2025/2026 NNL campaign with a tricky away fixture against Abia Comets this weekend — a match the TM believes will set the tone for their promotion ambitions.
“We will fight for every ball, every point. Smart City is ready,” he said.
