As head of CAF’s delegation to the co-hosting countries, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, Adamu revealed that the governing body has held productive meetings with both organizing committees and government officials.
“We’ve met with all stakeholders,” he said.
According to him, the level of commitment shown by the host nations has been encouraging, with governments actively involved in ensuring that timelines and requirements are met.
“There is strong commitment,” he implied.
Adamu emphasized that CAF is working closely with all three countries, maintaining alignment on infrastructure development, logistics, and overall tournament planning.
“We are in alignment,” he noted.
While acknowledging that there is still work to be done, he expressed confidence that everything necessary will be in place ahead of the tournament.
“We are on track,” he added.
For CAF, the success of the 2027 AFCON will depend heavily on coordination and execution, and Adamu believes the foundations are being properly laid.
“It will come together,” he stressed.
The East African co-hosting arrangement represents a significant milestone, and expectations are high for a tournament that showcases the region’s capabilities.
As preparations continue, CAF’s confidence provides reassurance that the project is progressing as planned.
For Adamu, the message is clear.
Stay committed.
Stay aligned.
And deliver.
Because hosting AFCON is a responsibility, and an opportunity to make history.
