A star player in the squad of Lugna Real Estate & Properties, Ike Ibe has revealed a chain of secrets behind his team’s 3-1 spanking of Wizh Clothings in week two of the ongoing Werblack Wines Synergy Cup 2025.
In the wake of Saturday’s encounter, which saw Lugna Properties win their second straight game in the ongoing recreational competition organised by Island All Stars Club (IASC), Ibe told Sports247 that his team won the game because they relied on fighting spirit and joint effort from all their players.

Ibe, who emerged man of the match in the pulsating encounter, added that it was a tough and exciting game, then gave his teammates plaudits for putting up a bold fight until the final whistle.
He declared, “It was a very strong game, and we fought till the end. We did well and played together as a team, because we are not a squad that depends on one person.
“We are 11 players working together and I truly appreciate all my teammates for the way they played together. That’s what made it a great game for us.”
The jocular MVP also spoke about the players’ mood before they lined out for the match and pointed out that the zeal for victory spurred them to go all out for maximum points, even before the game began.
“Coming into the game, our target was focused fully on winning it, and we aimed to get all the points.
“It’s normally a game of 50-50, and anybody can win, but we came out feeling great … and we fought together to carry the day,” Ibe expatiated.
He, however, refrained from predicting that his side will win the trophy at stake but, while praising the organisers for putting together a wonderful competition, stressed that the team of Lugna Properties will continue working hard until the last kick of contest.
“It’s a long run competition, but we hope we can make something out of it. As for the organisers, I say they are doing great. It’s not easy to organise something like this, but they are doing a wonderful job,” Ibe affirmed
