Speaking from the Super Eagles camp, Nnadi said he is fully aware of the responsibility that comes with representing Nigeria on the continent’s biggest football stage and is ready to give everything for the country.
“The Super Eagles jersey is not just a shirt. It carries the hopes of millions of Nigerians worldwide,” Nnadi said.
The midfielder explained that the magnitude of support and expectation surrounding the national team is something every player must understand and respect.
“When you wear this jersey, you know you are playing for more than yourself. You are playing for a whole nation,” he added.
Nnadi stressed that the pressure does not intimidate him but rather motivates him to work harder and remain focused.
“The pressure is there, but I see it as motivation. It pushes me to work harder every day and give my best,” he said.
The midfielder also made his ambition clear ahead of the tournament, stating that the ultimate goal is to bring the AFCON trophy back to Nigeria.
“I hope Nigeria wins the AFCON. That is what every player in this team wants,” Nnadi noted.
He acknowledged that expectations are high following Nigeria’s recent setbacks but insisted the squad remains determined to respond positively.
“We know there is disappointment from the past, but this is a new opportunity to make Nigerians happy again,” he said.
Nnadi emphasized the importance of unity and commitment within the squad, noting that success at AFCON depends on collective effort rather than individual brilliance.
“Everyone must work together. No one can do it alone at this level,” he added.
As the Super Eagles continue preparations in Morocco, Nnadi’s comments reflect a player fully conscious of the responsibility he carries — and determined to honour it.
For Nigeria, the pressure is heavy, but players like Nnadi insist they are ready to shoulder it and fight for continental success.
