Okeke Ifeanyi Peter, Team Lagos State goalie has said that there is no need to be boastful and proud at this time after they sealed a spot for festival participation at the expense of Team Ekiti following a deserved playoff victory at Ibadan.
Giving his reaction after the tough contest, Peter maintained that the festival is always that of great feeling, the exposure, and experience that comes from it is euphoric, “especially for someone like me, you need confidence and activeness to win,” Sports247 reports.
“It’s been massive so far, the journeys and matches we have played withdraws and wins all have massively exposed us going forward.”
“Both sides were good but we kept our head in the game and played according to the coach’s instructions and so we won.”
“We are going to try our best as much as possible to win gold, I don’t want to boast but am certain that we will give our best, our all to the game because this is what we are born for, this is our profession, we will give it our all, ” he promised.
