We will stop the Eagles from getting their revenge – Baxter

Bafana Bafana of South Africa head coach Stuart Baxter insists Nigeria’s Super Eagles will not get their revenge on Saturday when both nation’s clash at the FNB stadium in a crucial Africa Cup of Nation’s qualifier.

Nigeria is unbeaten on the African scene since suffering a shock defeat to the South Africans in the first tie of the qualifier last year and the coach said he has the players to withstand the Eagles firepower despite major injuries to key players.

“Despite the injuries I know we still have very good players. Even though we respect Nigeria, we do not fear them. I think we still have enough talents, enough desire and I think when we play them we would not be complacent.

They are undefeated since we beat them last time and they will certainly want to wreak their revenge, we will be ready and I still believe we have a very good chance of getting the result we need on Saturday.

Nigeria tops group E with nine points after four games while South Africa is second on the log with eight points after four games.
