We wanted to go unbeaten like Arsenal – Rasheed Balogun

The General Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club Mr. Rasheed Balogun has disclosed that his team would have gone unbeaten in the race for a promotional ticket into Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, if the NNL had not been cancelled.

The Nigeria National League NNL had been abruptly stopped in December 2019 and was later postponed indefinitely in January due to logistical reasons.

The experienced football administrator who was on the Family United by Football WhatsApp platform on Sunday said “we played 5 matches, won four and drew one, in fact if the league continues, there’s no team to beat us into first position, that l can say with my mouth wide open.”

The former Julius Berger and Stationary Stores player said the governor has backed the club up efficiently for a promotional ticket.

“GSM is a die hard supporter of 3SC and is a man of his own words and we derived motivation in his words. He’s supporting us with necessary backings and
We know the ticket is a big deal now than ever.”

The Oluyole Warriors have twice missed promotion by whiskers with the last trial resulting to an humiliation in the hands of Akwa Starlets, now Dakkada FC.
