We Lost To A Better Side – Ken Gadaffi

KG Sports Academy Director Dr. Ken Gadaffi has admitted that his side lost to a better side after a 3-0 Defeat In the Niger Delta Coaches South-South Championship Cup on Sunday at the Ughelli Township Stadium.

The Agbor Boys held the Lisbon Side to 0-0 in the First Half in a highly entertaining match in which Goalkeeper Elvis Shaqiri pulled out some spectacular saves only to Capitulate in the last 20 minutes of the match.

“It was a good game, I am not disappointed in our performance despite the humiliating defeat” KG Director Ken Gadaffi stated.

“The boys fought hard but Lisbon is more experienced and it paid off for them as our Defender on several occasions failed to close down on their striker to concede those goals late in the game” He Explained

KG Sports held on well for 60 minutes before Substitute Onyebuchi Chidubem gave the Lisbon Stricker Isaac aches of Space to fire an internalization shot past Goalkeeper Elvis for the opener.

Lisbon who had earlier missed a penalty through their Skipper took no chances as the Midfielder stepped forward to fire home to make it 2-0

Even at 2 goals Down, KG Sports ACADEMY Surged forward to seek redemption and twice came close but were done by hard luck.

Destiny’s shot from close range went sky-bound and Wisdom Struck the upright after his shot had sent the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Against the run of play, Lisbon Scored the 3rd goal in the 82nd minute as once again Onyebuchi Chidubem failed to close down his marker allowing him to power home a shot from close range.

“It is a Learning Curve. I am proud of my boy’s display, the scoreline does not reflect the game but no doubt we lost to a better side and we hope they will come to Agbor someday for us to revenge” Dr. Ken Gadaffi said.

KG Sports will return to Ughelli on the 10th of August to face Goshen FC of Bayelsa
