“What the team did yesterday was inspiring,” she said. “It’s my turn now to make Nigeria proud and bring something home.”

In the 55kg category, Adijat Idris is another strong medal hopeful.

“I’ve trained with champions, and now I want to be one of them,” Idris said. “I’m ready to give everything on the mat.”

On the men’s side, Oluwafemi Jackson, wrestling in the 86kg division, is embracing the challenge with optimism.

“The energy in this team is unbelievable,” Jackson said. “We saw what’s possible yesterday — and we’re coming with the same fire today.”

With more bouts scheduled, the stakes remain high. The Nigerian Wrestling Federation is aiming to keep the nation at the top of the medal standings and fans can expect another thrilling display of skill, strength, and determination.
