Sporting Director of Badagry United Football Club, Danladi Musa has warned other participating teams to beware of his team when the 2021/2022 Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup begins in the state.
Musa in a chat with Journalists in Badagry explained that the club is ready to fight for the trophy saying that they are not coming to Lagos FA to make numbers but rather to shock the big teams in the tournament.
He admitted that the Lagos FA Cup would be tough considering the numbers of clubs in the state but noted that Badagry United are ripe to give any opponents a run for their money.
“Let me say this for the purpose of our readers, Badagry United are formidable and they are ready to cause upset in Lagos FA Cup. We purposely backed out last year because we were not ripe but this year we are good to go and we are set to cause upset,” he said.
Badagry United recently won Badagry League after defeating Roro FC 1-0 in the final. Badagry United would play a series of friendly matches in preparation for the Lagos FA cup.
Meanwhile, the organizers also disclosed that all clubs duly registered for the 2019/2020 Lagos FA Cup that was not played due to the COVID-19 pandemic are exempted from payment of registration but must be affiliated to date 2021/2022 with LSFA.
