Wakama thanked top sports administrators, including Shehu Dikko and Bukola Olopade, for their support and commitment to the team.

“We appreciate the recognition and support from the government,” Wakama said.

The coach acknowledged that the fulfillment of the promises made to the players serves as motivation and encouragement for the team.

However, she was quick to emphasize that while the celebration is important, it does not mark the end of the team’s journey.

“The celebration is important, but it’s not the end for us,” she added.

Wakama stressed that the focus of the team remains on continuous improvement and maintaining high standards as they prepare for future competitions.

According to her, ensuring consistent support for the players will be crucial in sustaining success at the highest level.

“We must keep pushing forward and ensure the players have what they need to succeed,” she said.

The D’Tigress coach concluded by reiterating the team’s commitment to representing Nigeria with pride and continuing to build on their achievements on the international stage.
