Warri Wolves Draw, A Test Ground for CAFCC Clash for Kwara United Against Asante Kotoko

Kwara United will fly out to Ghana on Wednesday for the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash against Asante Kotoko

The Harmony Boys are expected to travel with a 27-man contingent via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The encounter is scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The return leg is scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo a week later. Kwara United will be making their second appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Kwara United Ready for Asante Kotoko After Ozoro Draw as the Harmony boys picked up a crucial away point after holding newly promoted Warri Wolves to a goalless draw in their NPFL Matchday 4 clash at the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro.

The Harmony Boys started the game on the front foot, dictating the pace and controlling the midfield to the admiration of fans and spectators.

Kwara United will boost their confidence with Goalkeeper , Suraj Ayeleso, Kabiru Muhammed, Saheed Olaniyi, Ibrahim Yahaya, and Victor Adeoye putting in a resolute defensive display to keep the game level.

After the matchday-4 clash with Warri Wolves, Head Coach Tunde Sanni praised his players for their composure and resilience under pressure, describing the result as a good boost ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup fixture

“It was a good game and a good test ahead of Asante Kotoko. I believe Asante cannot do more than what Wolves did here today, and if we can survive this, we can survive in Ghana”

The Harmony Boys now have 5 points from 4 games in the NPFL and will shift focus to the CAF Confederation Cup, where they face Asante Kotoko at the Accra Stadium, Ghana, on Sunday.

Abia Warriors are Nigeria’s other representative in the competition.
