In the finals of the inaugural WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup of Nations held in Kumasi 2023, Ghana and Nigeria are set to renew their rivalry.
The Black Princesses of Ghana secured their spot in the finals after defeating Burkina Faso with a score of 3-1 in the semi-finals. On the other hand, Nigeria advanced to the finals by defeating Benin with a convincing 3-0 victory in their semi-final match.
Both Ghana and Nigeria performed impressively in the group stage, with Ghana topping
Group A by securing six points from their wins against Benin and Cote D’Ivoire. Nigeria also emerged at the top of their group, defeating Burkina Faso, Niger, and Togo.
This paved the way for the semi-final clashes, where Ghana faced Burkina Faso and Nigeria took on Benin.
The highly anticipated final match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumas
