WAFCON 2024: I Want To Keep On Scoring Goals For Super Falcons’ Progress – Chinwendu Ihezuo

Pachuca Femenil of Mexico striker, Chinwendu Ihezuo has expressed delight with her goal for Nigeria in Friday’s 5-0 mauling of Zambia, and declared that she wants to keep on scoring in order to help the Super Falcons win this year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Sports247 reports that Ihezuo’s well placed 45th minute effort was her third goal at the ongoing competition in Morocco, but the former Pelican Stars of Calabar and Delta Queens of Asaba sensation is angling for more sizzlers.

As they now get ready for the semi-finals on Tuesday, Ihezuo, who has also previously played for Bilk Kazygurt of Kazakhstan, Hernan Jianye of China and Monterrey of Mexico, gave thanks to God for helping her and the Falcons thus far.

Chinwendu Ihezuo, who grew up in Ajegunle area of Lagos, sermonised: “First of all, I want to say thanks to Almighty God for the victory over Zambia and for the efforts of my teammates.

“I want to thank God for everything. In fact, I am speechless; but it’s all thanks to God.”

The dark-skinned lass with a hair style of short spikes then spoke about her next target, which she disclosed is to score more goals in the last two games that the Falcons will play at WAFCON 2024.

“I want to keep scoring and for the team to keep going. We won’t give up. My spirit is high. I was happy when I scored my third goal, and the joy was too much for me.

“I want our fans to keep supporting us. We will not let them down, and we’ll make Nigeria proud,” pledged Ihezuo, who now has five goals in total for the Super Falcons.
