FC Rosengard of Sweden battling midfielder, Halimatu Ayinde has revealed part of the tactics that Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons, will employ in Friday’s quarter-final clash with Zambia at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Sports247 reports that the Falcons head into Friday’s game in Casablanca, Morocco on a tight string, as they could only play out a nervous goalless draw with Algeria in their last group match of the ongoing continental competition.

Halimatu Ayinde, who previously played for Delta Queens of Asaba, Western New York Flash of USA, FC Minsk of Belarus and Ekilstuna of Sweden, said she is thinking only of victory but conceded that the nine-time African champs are yet to get their act together in front of goal.
With Coach Justin Madugu’s side having battled for top form in all their three group matches, Ayinde admitted further that they are now set for a very tough battle against the team that defeated them during the third place match of WAFCON 2022 in the same country.
The box-to-box schemer noted, “It’s obvious we are going to play a tough match. So, for us, we just have to keep doing what we’ve been doing … stay focused, and try to build ourselves for the game.”
The petite midfield enforcer acknowledged the improved form of The Copper Queens, but while admitting that the East Africans deserve respect, she stressed that the Falcons are not scared of them.
Ayinde further declared, “We respect them, and we know they are a very good team; but we are not going to think too much about them.”
She concluded by pointing out a major weakness in the current Falcons’ squad, which happens to be lack of goals, but quickly interjected that they will correct all loopholes before Friday’s first knockout fixture in Casablanca, Morocco.
“We haven’t really scored many goals. So, the preparation is ongoing for us to create chances and convert them into goals.
“So, we are ready for them. We are ready to play and, by the grace of God, we will win,” Ayinde ended with affirmation.
