WABA To Sanction Inter Gyms/Clubs Championships In Dubai, Uae As Paradigm Shift

WABA would sanction Inter Gyms/Clubs championships in the United Arab Emirate’s archipelago of Dubai kicking off from March 26, 2021.

The Competition will bring together boxing, MMA, Kickboxing, Muaythai, and K1 combatants to fight for titles. individual winners and gyms/clubs would be crowned as WABA Inter gyms/clubs champions for the year 2021.

The inherent value of such competition is to instill sportsmanship and camaraderie in boxing and combat sports. Competitors from all corners of the world, some already living in Dubai, other UAE sheikdoms, the middle east, and Persian gulf would take part in the competitions.

Coordinated by the Ringside Gym Global of Dubai owned and managed by two business partners Zack Taumafai and Oayam Honari, the March 2021 Inter Gyms/Clubs competitions would take place two months before WABA’s second foundation championships to be headlined by the WABA Middleweight tussle featuring former Malawian world titleholder and WABA Commissioner of Malawi Agnes Mtimaukunena vs. TBA on May 27, 2021, in Dubai also.

This development is arising from the manner that boxing is changing dynamics from the old school order to the new reformed era where inclusive is vital. WABA efforts to usher new values to boxing and combat sports have earned it great support worldwide. Its quest to introduce health insurance and retirement benefits to its champions have gained tremendous support worldwide also.

The Covid-10 Pandemic has dealt a major blow to mainstream sanction organizations most of whose title tournaments were canceled and no movement at all within their ranking systems.

The Pandemic problems seem to offer an olive branch to the up and coming sanction organizations like WABA whose efforts and vision to cultivate and grow talents seem to pay off.

Also, the worsening financial conditions of the major organizations with big budgets is making it difficult to keep their focus on activities in boxing tournaments most of which would be without cheering crowds.
