Vyning FC Player, Lawal Sodiq Reflects on Debut Match in NLO2, Aims for Improvement and Victory

Lawal Sodiq, a talented player with Vyning FC, recently shared his thoughts on their debut match in the NLO2 league against Deluxe FC, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Vyning FC.

Speaking in an interview with Sports 247, Sodiq expressed his feelings about playing in the league for the first time and how he felt about the size of the pitch. He said, “This is my first time playing in the league, and our pitch is no bigger than this. This pitch is big, but I know that I played good football out there. I would score my performance 80/100 in this match. The team had enough cohesion, and we understood ourselves well on the field.”

Sodiq also praised his opponents, Deluxe FC, acknowledging that they utilized their opportunities well to secure the victory. He added, “When I saw our opponents, I thought they would beat us. That was the opportunity that they used. We saw more opportunities than them, but they utilized their own well, which was why they were able to score that goal. Unfortunately, we did not make use of our opportunities.”

Despite the defeat in their first match, Sodiq remains optimistic about their future performances. He expressed confidence that the team would learn from their mistakes and improve in the upcoming matches. “We are going to win all our games,” he confidently stated.

Vyning FC will now use this match as a learning experience and a chance to fine-tune their strategies. With Sodiq’s determination and the team’s commitment, they aim to bounce back and secure victories in their upcoming matches, making their mark in the NLO2 league.
