“My favourite goalkeeper that gives me motivation is Vincent Enyeama,” Abdullah told Sports247 reporter during the interview.
“Right from my days in my boyhood club, IFO United Football Academy before moving to Juvenile FC and now Elegant Football Academy in Abeokuta.
I have been imitating the former Super Eagles captain, but couldn’t imitate him with his lovable smiles during games”
“I love him so much, you will never see him panic, the confidence in him that he carries to a game is what I’ve always learned from him and I think he is that role model to the new generation style of goalkeeping with his shot stopping techniques, enhancing passing range and accuracy, footwork and organizing the defense and directing teammates”.
Abdullah, who has established himself as a pillar in Elegant FA goalkeeping role since joining through trial, delivered some promising outing with several penalty saves and assist from the backline and has affirmed his reputation as one the most reliable goalkeeper for the Cheetah boys.
However, he will participate in newly established private league, NextGen Elite Championship- NEC for Elegant Football Academy.
