Vince Iwuchukwu Out Until Mid-January In USA’s Collegiate Basketball

Georgetown University’s basketball team’s centre, Vince Iwuchukwu is approaching full recovery, but he is not expected back in action until the middle of next month.

Sports247 gathered that the Nigerian-born youngster, who was knocked out with a knee complaint on the 18th of November has been responding positively to treatment.’

The report out of God’s Own Country added that Iwuchukwu had to go through a medical procedure, that will be further evaluated in the middle of January, after his eight weeks assessment period.

Georgetown did not provide any specifics about his ongoing recovery pattern, but said he is ‘generally in good health, in good spirits and appreciates the support’ he is getting from everyone.

The report added, “Iwuchukwu transferred into Georgetown this past offseason after stints at both USC and St. John’s. The 7-foot-1 center was a five-star Rivals.com recruit coming out of high school.

“He sustained major heart failure and collapsed during a team workout ahead of his freshman season with the Trojans.

“Though the incident that happened on July 1, 2022 led to a minor hospital stay, he played in just 14 games that season.”
