Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor Osimhen is bound to have another troubling dilemma to contend with, as he has surprisingly come under summer transfer interest from Arsenal of England, Sports247 gathered.
In what appears to be another chapter in the recurring transfer debacle that entwines Osimhen at the end of every season, the Super Eagles’ hitman is set to face another battle of wits about which club to join next.
Speculation is already rife that the former Ultimate Strikers of Lagos, VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Racing Charleroi of Belgium, Lille Metropole of France and SSC Napoli of Italy striker will be on his way out of Gala this summer.
While initial talk had been about the possibility of a deal at Barcelona of Spain, Juventus of Italy or Chelsea of England, the latest addition to Osimhen’s long line of suitors is Arsenal, whose sporting director, Andrea Berta is thinking big.
Reports out of London indicate that Berta has his eyes on Osimhen and two other players at Galatasaray, as the 54-year-old technical buff was in attendance to watch them beat arch-rivals Fenerbahce 3-0 in Sunday’s decisive Turkish Super Lig tie.
A report by AS adds, “Berta’s main mission was to get eyes on Osimhen, 27, as they look to bolster their forward line, despite the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres. Berta had an informal meeting with the Galatasaray board.
“(They spoke) regarding the prolific striker’s availability. Osimhen wasn’t the only Galatasaray player that caught his attention, however. Winger Baris Alper Yilmaz, 25, and goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, 30, are also of interest.”
