Victor Osimhen Creates Anxious Moments For Juventus’ Coach Ahead Of UCL Clash

Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor Osimhen is giving Juventus of Italy coach, Luciano Spalletti anxious moments heading into Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash between both sides, Sports247 reports.

The Juve gaffer described Osimhen as a hitman who ‘creates chaos’ for any team he plays against, while leaving room for his teammates to exploit and wreak havoc on the opposition.

Spalletti projected on the strategy he will have to employ in order to stop not only Osimhen, but the Nigerian star’s strike partner, Mauro Icardi, who he described as an opportunist waiting to finish off the job.

He reckoned further that Osimhen would scatter any opposing defence at will, while leaving space open for Icardi to pounce and complete the task with devastating finesse, hence his verdict that both stars must be checked.

Interestingly, Juventus have been linked with transfers for both Osimhen and Icardi over the last two windows but Spalletti only acknowledged that any coach who has both players would have two sensations at his disposal.

Spalletti analyzed Osimhen and Icardi, as he told TMW: “They are both very strong players with different characteristics. Together, their characteristics could make up the encyclopaedia of being a number nine.

“They are two strikers who know how to move inside the area, one creates chaos and the other knows how to capitalise on the chaos. We have to give them the ball as little as possible and keep it ourselves.”

Sports247 recalls that Juventus finished the UCL’s first phase in 13th place, three points shy of an automatic spot in the top eight; meaning they have to play against Galatasaray over two legs in order to qualify for the round of 16.

The Old Lady will first take on Galatasaray in Istanbul this Tuesday, before hosting the Istanbul-based Turkish Super Lig side in their return leg at Turin’s Allianz Stadium next Wednesday, February 25th.
