Former Turkey international defender and current coach Ümit Özat has advised the Turkish Football Federation to take advantage of Victor Osimhen’s presence in the country while the Nigerian striker is playing for Galatasaray S.K..
Özat believes the federation should invite Osimhen to participate in special training sessions with young Turkish national team forwards, using the Super Eagles star as a live “practical training model” for the next generation of attackers.
According to Özat, Osimhen’s physical strength, speed, movement, and work rate make him an ideal example for young strikers looking to improve their game.
He suggested that the federation organize training opportunities where youth national team players can observe and train alongside the Nigerian forward before he eventually leaves the Turkish league.
The former defender even proposed that the federation allocate a dedicated budget to make the idea possible, stressing that such a rare opportunity should not be wasted.
Osimhen has been one of the standout performers in the Turkish league since joining Galatasaray, attracting widespread attention for his explosive playing style and consistent goal-scoring ability.
Özat’s proposal reflects the growing admiration for the Nigerian striker in Turkish football circles, with many observers acknowledging his impact and influence on the league.
