Little known but fast-rising Nigerian, Paago Tedum Henry, is the rave of the moment in the Ukrainian 3rd football Division.

The 22-year-old who plays for FC Trostyanets has made 15 appearances since joining the club in a one year deal(2021-2022), scoring fifteen goals while providing seven assists during the current campaign for his team.

Paago has also won three Man-of-the-Match awards and helping his team gain promotion to the Ukrainian Championship League called Liga 2, capping the league season with a trophy.

The 1.72 metres tall former FC Elektron and FC Sumy attacker all of Ukraine idolizes Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo, and former Super Eagles maestro, Austin J.J. Okocha, and dreams of playing either in Arsenal FC or Liverpool FC in England or Real Madrid in Spain in the nearest future.

While waiting for that tall dream to materialize, the energetic striker who uses both feet excellently said he has set a 35-goal target for himself with his current Club before his contract expires next year.

Paago also disclosed that he fancies playing for Nigeria, adding that he is available for invitation into Nigeria’s U-23 Dream Team or the Super Eagles, but stated that it was left to the National teams’ managers to decide his fate.

“Every professional footballer loves to wear his national team’s colours. And I am no exception.

“I have been in Ukraine for some times now and the league here, no matter the category, is very competitive. You have to be at your best to command a place.

“I keep working hard daily to actualize my dream of playing in the best league in the world and adorn my national team’s colours.

“I am available anytime the opportunity comes. A national call-up is one of the best things to happen in an athlete’s life, and I can’t wait to receive such news from Nigeria”, he enthused.

Paago hails from Gokana, Rivers State, South-south Nigeria.
