United Kingdom-based taekwondo revelation, Jordan Osanrenren Joel is relishing his stunning performance at this year’s British international championship and declared that he wants to keep on winning medals for Nigeria in the martial arts sport.
Sports247 reports that Joel is still beaming with delight, following his exploits at the British International Taekwondo Open last weekend, but quickly added that he is still thinking big and his appetite for success is not filled just yet.
He also gave thanks to God, his family members and all well-wishers who backed him towards achieving success at the championship, which is ranked high in the global taekwondo circuit.
While noting the opportunity he also got to gain world ranking points and boost qualification towards the World Taekwondo Championships and Olympic Games, Joel promised to keep working hard in order to create more top marks in the heavyweight category (+87kg).
Joel stated, “I am grateful to God and my team for the win. It has shown me to continue to have faith and trust the process, keep showing up and keep putting my best foot forward regardless of the challenges.
“I would also like to say a big thank you to God, my wife, my training team, my family and friends. I wouldn’t have been able to come as far as I have without the love and support, I get from others.
“I want to do my best for my country. This has shown me that I can win gold. So, I want to continue to win more for Nigeria. I’m focused on doing my best at those competitions and climbing up the world rankings.”
